Abstract
Presents a new linear target delineating system, LTGIS. Supported by a VAX11-730 and a MODEL75 system. LTGIS employs a knowledge-based man-machine interactive scheme and a multimodel information integrating technique, and has high speed and precision in the detection of linear structure of the ground. The road information such as the position of the region which has some road segments to be detected, and the start-point and end-point of a detected road segment, is located by a tracking ball, while other information such as the curvature and brightness of the road segment, is inputed by keyboard. These knowledge, together with the algorithm of the slope of road starting point, and the algorithm of optimum road tracking, forms a interactive knowledge-based linear geography target interpretation system
