Abstract :
Wafer scale integration (WSI) is a technology of particular interest for applications with severe size, weight, power, cost and reliability requirements. Because of technological difficulties in implementing clock and signal distribution, monolithic WSI has not been widely employed. A novel approach to clock and signal distribution for WSI is introduced. It combines the advantages of monolithic-WSI with the superior interconnection capabilities of hybrid-WSI.
