Abstract :
We present simulations of Viterbi equalizers in 10 Gb/s NRZ-DPSK and NRZ-DQPSK systems. We show that an NRZ-DQPSK Viterbi receiver obtains a PMD tolerance of 160 ps at 3 dB OSNR penalty.
