Abstract

IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is mostly regarded as the core architecture of the next generation network. And the mobile video call service based on IMS network is almost sure to be one of the most important applications beyond the 3rd generation mobile communication. This paper focuses on design and implementation of IMS video call based on Windows Mobile system and the open source eXosip package. Practice testing result shows the application software was able to perform the IMS functionalities such as registration and video call establishment, which have laid the groundwork for future software development.
