Abstract :
Rubber sheeting lines, including inner-liner and sidewall lines, are requiring increasingly complex control systems to meet today´s quality standards. Winding technology is a critical portion of the rubber manufacturing process. The basics of a rubber sheeting line control system are reviewed. The winding portion is examined, with emphasis on both mechanical and electrical details. Actual performance data are presented, along with a discussion of future trends for this technology.<>
