Abstract
A highly efficient buck power converter is described that uses a newly developed control IC. The control IC has a new gate driving scheme that utilizes double-anti-crossover control for synchronous rectification. It reduces loss in power MOSFETs by restraining pass-through current. A maximum efficiency of 93% is obtained in the buck power converter, whose output voltage is 3.3 volts
