It is crucial to evaluate reliability of the electrohydraulic servo valve (EHSV) which has been widely used in many fields. This paper firstly presents the physical structure and functional principle of EHSV. The Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) is conducted afterwards. Lastly, a method that can quantitatively analyze reliability and failure rate of EHSV suffering common cause failures is proposed.
