Abstract :
There are a number of approaches to inducing chaotic behavior in a single-mode semiconductor laser. We have investigated the following three approaches: (a) optical injection, (b) optical feedback, and (c) optoelectronic feedback. The nonlinear dynamics of a semiconductor laser depend on five intrinsic laser parameters and three operational parameters. We have studied unidirectional chaotic synchronization between two remote injection-locked semiconductor lasers to achieve chaotic communications
