  • Abstract
The authors have developed a myoelectrically controlled forearm prosthesis with two and three degrees of freedom. The major problems were: (1) the establishment of testing criteria for quantitative indices of myoelectrically controlled signals; (2) the development of methods of myoelectric rehabilitation and their application; and (3) the development of a method for the manufacture of myoelectrically controlled prostheses to replace very short amputated arms.<>
