Abstract :
The computation of the second derivative, the Laplacean operator, is useful for separating sources of electrophysiological activity. The classical methods of extraction are usually based on adaptive filtering or averaging. A model based on a combination of Gaussian functions yields very good results in terms of the extraction and characterization of Laplacean signals.<>
