Abstract
QoS routing has been a very important research issue in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). In this paper, we proposes a QoS-Aware routing protocol based on entropy (QARPE) for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. QARPE can provide stable mutil-path routing strategy. The strategy adhibits the entropy metric to guarantee the stability and QoS conditions of selected routing. The paper adopts the following QoS conditions: delay, bandwidth and delay jitter. In order to reduce the number of route reconstructions as few as possible, QARPE provides a standby route. Therefore, when the main route is invalid, the source can transmit data by the standby routie. The simulation results shows that QARPE approach provides an accurate and efficient method with a stable multi-path and satisfies QoS constrains in MANETs.
