Abstract
A large number of software reliability prediction models has been developed, and they provide useful results. However, most of these models are not applicable until after system integration testing begins, which is too late for fundamental design changes. In this paper, a software reliability prediction method based on software development process is proposed. Keene´s development process prediction model(DPPM), Rayleigh model and computer aided software reliability estimation(CASRE) tool are used to progressively improve the prediction. The continuing software reliability prediction throughout the development process is beneficial to promote the development capability of software and guarantee a more reliable software product.
