Abstract :
Efforts toward the development of a primary lithium-chlorine battery are described. The cell stack incorporates flat, pelletized components, and is similar to that of conventional thermal batteries. In addition to reporting the status of this development program, some of the investigations that have been undertaken toward performance improvement are discussed. Limiting current determinations have been used to assess the performance
