Abstract :
A novel planar antenna employing a stretched structure and meshed material is proposed in order to reduce the weight drastically and experimental results in S-band are described. As a result, the developed planar array antenna has a weight of 300 g/m/sup 2/, one third that of a conventional one, and has good RF performance.
