Abstract
A wideband single layer microstrip antenna was developed in order to be an element of an array with corporate feed. Subarrays of 4, 16 and 64 elements were studied by simulation, in order to realize a 16/spl times/16 array. These results help to estimate the characteristics of the 16/spl times/16 array. This antenna is expected to have a bandwidth of about 10%, a gain in the order of 30 dB, which corresponds to an efficiency of 60-65%, and a cross-polarization less than -12 dB. Such an array was realized and is currently under rest. Results of measurements are provided.
