  • Abstract
    A new scheme for transmit antenna selection (TAS) is proposed to reduce the overhead for pilot symbols and feedback signaling. The proposed scheme considers a subset of all antennas in each slot and changes the subset in each following slot. In this way, the overhead can be reduced significantly. Simulation results also show that the performance of the proposed scheme is almost the same as the traditional ideal TAS under slow-varying fading channels, no matter the multiple transmit antennas are used for diversity or spatial multiplexing.
