Abstract :
A band notched ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna integrated with complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) etched in the radiating patch is proposed and investigated. By integrating with the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), the proposed antenna can reject some frequency band which is already in use by existing wireless services. The stopband of the band notched UWB antenna is from 4.8GHz to 5.4GHz with a reference level of S11=−7dB.The center frequency of the notched band is 5.2GHz at which the wireless LAN service is assigned. The frequency band of the proposed antenna is 3.1GHz–11GHz for voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) less than 2.
