Abstract :
This paper describes a 800 m terrestrial transmission link operating at 30, 50, 60 and 94 GHz. Meteorological measurements are simultaneously recorded by several sensors situated all along the propagation path. The experiment will last 5 years and will allow one to better understand the influence of hydrometeors on the propagation in the millimetre wavelength region. Several statistical and theoretical database investigations will result in the establishment of attenuation prediction models to offer reliable transmission supports for future multimedia wide band services.
