Abstract
Carrier frequency offsets at the uplink of single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) systems destroy the orthogonality among the users and degrade the system performance. We present a semi-blind CFO estimation technique for SC-FDMA uplink with interleaved sub-carrier allocation. The estimation is based on the key observation that SC-FDMA with interleaved allocation obeys the parallel factor (PARAFAC) analysis model and therefore it is shown that the CFO of all the users can be uniquely estimated. Performance of the proposed method is evaluated through simulations and compared with the existing approaches in the literature.
