Abstract :
Modelled and measured results for solid rectangular waveguides with longitudinal frequency selective surface (FSS) inserts are presented. Measured results confirm the accuracy of the solid guide model. An FSS sidewall in a rectangular waveguide is shown to behave as a leaky wave antenna (LWA).
