In this paper, robust design method is introduced to control RV reducer´s transmission error. Main factors that influencing the transmission error are analyzed, and divided controllable factors and uncontrollable factors (noise factors) in order to meet the requirements of the test factors in robust design. By means of orthogonal experiment and G. Taguchi robust design, considering as noise factors, the effect factors of transmission error are tested. The best parameter combinations of the maximum signal-to-noise ratio are analyzed. The contribution rate of the influence factors on error is expressed. The results show that this method is practicable.
