Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

This paper studied the imperfect maintenance policy for a two-unit system with failure interactions. The improvement factor concerning about the age and maintenance cost of the system was newly created to describe the effect of the maintenance. The numerical results and case study were also included to show the validity of the models.
