Abstract
The application of the ray-tracing technique to site-specific radio propagation models has been widely used. This technique can provide relatively fast and accurate prediction of pico and microcell radio coverage and channel impulse response. However, some other parameters such as fast fading statistics can be of great interest when designing a mobile radio system. Here we present a new method, which uses a ray-tracing technique (Torres et al., 1998) to obtain the fast fading statistics starting from the Doppler power spectral density. The method appears to be more efficient and accurate that the methods used previously.
