After analyzing different styles of designing specialty, the paper establishes a scheduling model based on genetic algorithms (GAs). This method is designed for optimizing parallel and batched maintenance tasks of multi-specialty and minimizing the time of recovering the battle effectiveness of combat units. The proposed method involves two steps. Firstly, the optimized sorting model of combat units is established. Secondly, the scheduling and optimizing model for batched maintenance tasks in the specialty is established. The GA is used to optimize the resulting problems. The results demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the model and the method.
