Abstract
Facilities utilizing the conversion of the surface waves on a periodic scatterer into the volume waves were found to be a quite successful approach in the realization of the electrodynamical schemes of the SHF and EHF electromagnetic sources. First used in the modeling of physical processes in diffraction radiation oscillators, this effect extended its application area and gave rise to a new line in the development of antenna arrays. The scanning antenna for automobile noise radar represents the system consisting of two identical, synchronously working antennas, each of which includes: open transmission line, scanner and phase corrector
