Abstract :
Blind Signal Separation has the ability of recovering the desired signals from array inputs with an information of the source number. Based on the multistage constant modulus (CM) array, a new method was proposed to detect and recover the desired signals simultaneously. A detector based on the Generalized Likelihood Ratio Test (GLRT) was included in each stage CM array to determine the final stage. In this way, the source number does not need to be pre-estimated, which was pre-required in conventional multistage CM array algorithm to determine the order of the system. Close form expressions of the false alarm and detection probabilities were presented in this paper. Numerical examples were conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed joint signal detection and recovery method.
