Abstract :
The experimental research of the field and spectral characteristics of different types of oscillations in the barrel-shaped open resonator (BOR) in the 4 mm-wave range is undertaken. The interaction of TEM and TM modes under certain conditions is determined. The behavior of resonance curves and quality factor of the interacting modes is shown, while the distribution of electromagnetic energy inside the BOR is determined
