Abstract :
In wireless ad hoc networks, the over-fast growth rate of TCP congestion window is one of the main factors that lead to frequent link contention and routing failure. Based on recent research, this paper proposes a cross-layer design protocol that adaptively adjusts routing failure verifying policy and TCP congestion window growth rate based on link contention state sensing. Simulation results show that this cross-layer design protocol notability improves the system throughput and decreases the network delay, on the other hand, it is fit for different traffic load over different topology networks.
