Abstract
The development of a new configuration of a X broadband planar microstrip antenna is presented. As the base element a foamed inverted rectangular patch fed by near-resonant slots is chosen. In the feeding line a proper power divider is introduced. The antenna has a 1 GHz bandwidth at a frequency of 9.6 GHz. The proposed antenna is suitable for use in SAR applications.
