Abstract :
This article outlines the steps involved in implementing a multilevel plane wave time domain (PWTD) algorithm that complements the classical marching on in time (MOT) scheme for analyzing transient scattering from electrically large surface scatterers residing in free-space. The MOT solver for the combined field integral equation (CFIE) is used to illustrate the specifics of the implementation. Numerical results illustrating the usefulness of this algorithm in analyzing large scale scattering phenomena are presented.
