For engineering structures, vibration load often lead to fatigue failure, and this kind of vibration fatigue has a great influence on the reliability of these structures operating in aviation, power generating, petrochemical, and other industries. Based on the review on vibration fatigue of engineering structures, this paper elaborates the research development of vibration fatigue, and presents the difference between vibration fatigue and the normal fatigue. In addition, this paper also investigates the vibration fatigue life prediction methods for engineering structures under deterministic loads and random vibration loads.
