Abstract :
To evaluate the clinical treatment effects of delayed immediate implant, we chose clinical cases from May in 2008 to September in 2010, observed and followed up these cases and evaluated the treatment effects of this method. Totally 36 ITI and Replace implants were placed in mandible or maxilla of 22 patients on average 4~6 weeks after tooth extraction. The implants were exposed 4~6 months later and final porcelain restorations were made. The 6~34 months´ follow-up observations were performed. We found that all dental implants were implanted successfully. No inflammation occurred around the implants. No remarkable bone absorption occurred after restorations according to X-ray examination. According to this research, we concluded that if the cases are properly selected, delayed immediate implant could have the same rehabilitation effects and success rate with delayed implant, while the former significantly shortened the time of rehabilitation and enlarged the indications of implant restoration.
