Abstract :
This paper presents the over current and over temperature protective functions integrated in a low side switch. The design is focused on evaluating and controlling the over current and over temperature thresholds value spreads, to assure the needed accuracy. A simple analytical model is developed for predicting the threshold spreads. SPICE simulation, including Monte Carlo analysis, is used to get a better estimation for the two thresholds variation.
