Abstract :
The paper examines the interface considerations required in military and defense automated test systems to interface to a computer, for measurement automation. This paper examines the drivers for rapidly evolving computer interfaces, as well as the need for long-term stable interfaces for military/defense ATS. This paper describes a stable long-lifetime computer to instrumentation interface with both forward and backwards compatibility that will meet the longevity and future supportability required by military/defense ATS, as well as allows interfacing to evolving computer platforms
