Abstract :
Compared to general availability conceptions, effective availability could reflect the influence of repairable fault, unrepairable fault, and initiative repair on ship usage. By analyzing effective availability empirical formula, the important parameters, say MTBCF/MART and Missiontime/MTTCFnr, were found via simulation. The effective availability simulation models were built based on ExtendSim. The mission effective availability parameters were provided by simulation and the problem of effective availability simulation evaluation on ship system was settled and a case study is presented to show the validity of the proposed method.
