Abstract
Conventional continuous-time filters employ transconductance stages for realization. A second-order conventional filter requires four transconductors. This is due to the fact that transconductors are not considered (including their loading capacitors) first order stages instead of second-order ones, as they really are. Thus, frequency of operation is severely restricted. In the new structure we use otherwise parasitic poles to realize a single stage second-order filter. Simulation results for the designed filters show 500 MHz -3 dB third and fifth-order low-pass performance. Also, simulated THD for a 600 mVp-p, 95 MHz input signal is -52 dB
