Abstract :
This paper is about exploiting chaos theory to provide a means for modelling sound on a computer. A new technique is described for the analysis and resynthesis of a sound using a chaotic system. Preliminary results are promising: a synthetic version of `air noise´ is generated which sounds very much like the original
