Abstract :
The dual-lattice relational data model is proposed for combining the relational data model and the object-oriented data model. The model applies two different kinds of lattice structures for explicitly representing some specific relationships among relations. A brief description of the extended relational operators in the proposed model, such as LGEN, LPAR, MERGE, and SPLIT, is given. Various kinds of translation from complex type data to compound type data are discussed
