Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Network has been widely used in many important fields. However, the energy problem has been becoming a challenge in practical applications for WSN. Medium Access Control has a significant effect on the energy consumption. In this paper, we described an energy-efficient SMAC protocol, which is a well-known MAC protocol for WSN. Then, we introduced TMAC protocol, DMAC protocol and SSMAC protocol aiming at the defects of SMAC.
