Abstract
A new simulator, FREACS, for the transient analysis of single and coupled transmission lines is presented. The design of FREACS differs from the usual implementations. For example, novel macromodels of digital circuits as transmission line terminations are used. A formal input language called TANDEL was developed for the description of transmission line circuits. The simulation of a complex transmission line circuit is discussed as an example. The calculation time of the simulator is compared to the circuit complexity
