Abstract :
This paper present a simple hysteresis rule-based strategy for matrix converters for wind energy systems, which performs well under normal and abnormal input supply. The proposed method is based on the indirect control method, which divide matrix converter into two stages: a front rectifier stage (VSR) and a subsequent inverter stage (VSI) connected by a fictitious DC-link. The method selects the appropriate space vectors for the VSR and VSI stages separately in every switching cycle in order to keep both the input power factor error and the output current errors within the assigned hysteresis bands. The computational overheads are minimal. The proposed scheme was verified through simulation and experiment results.
