Abstract :
Protection from EMP can be afforded by utilizing the natural screening inherent in the ship´s metallic construction, and by hardening vulnerable equipment. This paper discusses the general characteristics of NEMP, LEMP and HPM and the measures necessary to ensure that the vessel´s operational capabilities are not seriously impaired
