Abstract
Clock synchronization represents a crucial element in the operation of wireless sensor networks (WSN). This paper analyzes many time synchronization protocols in WSN. According to the sources affecting time synchronization and the characteristics of remote automatic wattmeter reading (RAWR), this paper gives an improved algorithm of DMTS, called FU-DMTS and simulates it. Besides transmitting less messages, this algorithm is higher precise than DMTS, and it can meet the requirements of RAWR.
