Abstract :
With the increase of high-speed railway run mileage, the influence on power grid by unbalanced traction loads is more and more serious. If somewhere the capacity of power system that provides power for electrified railway is not enough, it is possible that electric energy quality is deteriorated. In the paper, a novel control method of STATCOM as well as detailed control arithmetic is proposed to compensate the harmonic and unbalance load caused by electric locomotive. Combined with the operating datum of Nanxincheng traction substation, the solution of comprehensive compensation is put forward and its correctness is verified by simulated calculation.
