Abstract :
In this paper, a new kind of high-voltage continuous reactive power compensator which was based on soft switching was introduced and a DSP+CPLD-based controller was designed. The hardware design and software flow chart was described in detail. The DSP and CPLD are used to design a controller , making its construction compact .thus improving its reliability and real-time characteristic.
