Abstract :
The use of a TEM-cell anechoic-chamber hybrid, the GTEM cell for EMI testing is discussed. The hybrid chamber may be used for both susceptibility testing (the TEM mode simulates a plane wave) and radiated emission measurements (data are correlated to ground screen results via a multi-pole model). This paper stresses reproducibility in emission measurements, namely, that emission results do not depend on either the test object location within the cell or its starting orientation. Experimental data for a self contained spherical dipole and a laptop computer demonstrate this point
