Abstract :
In view of the special structure of the novel PMSM with opposite-rotation dual rotors (ORDR) applied on the underwater vehicle counter-rotation propeller propulsion system, the mathematic model of ORDR machine was proposed. The magnetic-electric relationship based on equivalent magnetic loop and circuit was discussed. Through the simulations carried on the mathematic model, the influence on performance of ORDR machine because of the no-load back EMFs induced by magnets on inner and outer rotors was analyzed. The results prove that ORDR machine with same back EMFs can have good performance.
