Abstract
This paper treats the problem of coupling between a pair of wires (over a ground plane) having a random separation which is bounded within known limits. A probability distribution function provides a trustworthy means of evaluating the extent of the coupling. The methodology presented may provide a basis for generalization to more complex problems such as wires in bundles or winding wires
