Abstract :
This paper presents asymmetric circuit models and inductance parameter measurement method for Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PMLSM). Asymmetric circuit models considering the saliency and inductance harmonic effects are discussed for PMLSM. All fundamental and harmonic inductance parameters are easily determined by a standstill test using a single-phase commercial source. Experimental and simulation results on a 3-phase, 4-pole and 14-slot single-sided PMLSM demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.
