Abstract :
This paper shows the power of coherent measurement technique in EMI/EMC. It demonstrates the benefit of (1) measuring a filter´s scattering parameters to obtain a powerline differential mode and common mode insertion loss and the filter´s transfer functions; (2) measuring the shielding effectiveness of materials using a TEM cell and a vector network analyzer; (3) characterization of RF environment in the time domain, and (4) analyzing the effect of an inductive coupling device on coupled signal waveform
